窗前老树又开花，红艳枝头映彩霞。
*半百风华蜂蝶伴，满园春色赋词夸。
芳邻张望恆惊叹，戚友围观每赞嘉。
天地有情偏爱美，阳光水分护奇葩。
*此花由亡妻在生时栽种于50年前
依老树开花原韵
吟诗自况娱晚境
龄登耄耋眼昏花，意足心安醉晚霞。
夙志难申休怨叹，循规守则尚堪夸。
诗书满室称如意，香茗盈杯兴可嘉。
池里龟鱼观自在，园中蜂蝶绕奇葩。

窗前老树又开花
This Old Bougainvillea Plant, uniquely elegant and graceful, is strategically located at the exterior of the author's home.
Standing majestically with beautiful vermilion blooms, it has become the centre of focus that attracts bees and butterfles as well as visitors who would complement its beauty. Even neighbouring folks on stroll, love to pause briefly, gazing admiringly at the plant to appease their sensory thirst.
This garden beauty bears significant sentimental value to the author as it was grown some 50 years ago by his beloved wife who had faithfully nurtured it for decades till her demise a few years ago. It is now a gift of remembrance to the author.
The author's thought, demeanour and appreciation of this treasured plant as reflected in the poems, speak volumes on his love and affection for his wife.
As an octogenarian, with a clear conscience and a blissful mind, he takes pride in his prized collection of numerous books and would spend his leisure moments reviewing and appraising them while relaxing and savoring tea. Occasionally, he enjoys being immersed in the peace of nature at his garden, admiring the beauty of the evening skylines, watching fishes and tortoises swimming unperturbed in their natural setting and the sight of butterflies fluttering with bees hovering around the garden flowers.
