My impression on the poem "THE LITTLE BIRD Learning to fly AT MY GARDEN" by Mr Lim Wai Leng.
This poem describes the tranquil and serene atmosphere at the vicinity of the author's residence which reminds him of the importance of environmental conservation and abidance to ethical, moral and legal principles in ensuring sustainability and perpetually of planet Earth for healthy human habitation.
The little bird at his garden basking unperturbed in the splendour of the morning sun while simultaneously learning to take off denotes peace and calmness of the surrounding atmosphere. Its presence amidst abundance of flora and fauna is a manifestation of a balanced ecological environment conducive to the preservation and promotion of biodiversity.
The concluding statements of the poem implicitly caution of the grave impact of human violations against moral, ethical and legal principles which goes far beyond environmental degradation. This would likely lead to disruption in global peace resulting in disputes, violence, wars, poverty and famine. Who are at fault in the context of the current global crisis? Facts, evidence and rationales will be uncovered. Ultimately, truth will prevail as the law of Karma takes effect.
Thank you HM Lim! We are grateful to you, for your efforts in promoting environmental conservation and global peace!
